Beauty of the Night
There was a land so flat and cold where many men have lived and died no more water ran the rivers no more oceans turned the tide all the soil lay dark and barren gone the seeds of future life not a creature not a flower broke the silence of the night The warrior had killed his brother bound his woman, cut her tongue children fled to seek their mothers death was all when death was done life was ending after ending far from wisdom in their youth holding tight misunderstanding lost in faith and lost in truth Their fear was great they could not heal a land so empty, so betrayed and yet what reckoning was found within the Earth where Goddess lay Here the teacher here the mother here the One who gave us birth all she asks is that we honour every aspect of our Earth For nothing can take away the beauty of the night nothing can harm the sky its endless fields of light no one can take a life she’s not prepared to give and every time our planet turns we feel her will to live Nothing can take away the beauty of the night hour of Earth and hour of sky guided by moonlight.. ~ lyric Beauty of the Night
