Dear Reader;
In recent weeks I have heard so many speak to their psychic exhaustion, emotional burnout and deepening angst. This is a time when we are tested in our trust and may find ourselves awash in isolation and loss. A world we thought we knew has become surreal.
Even in such times, the foundational truths apply. The essence of over-arching Presence is wholeness. The shadow is our experience of the illusion of separation. We reclaim our potency as a Creator by coming face to face with the thing we fear the most. This is the direct route to a transcendent consciousness.
To be human is to know suffering and death. To face our pain is to set us free from its hold.
Suffering is not an accident, it is the catalyst. Our karmic experiences are not meant to be fixed but rather transformed.
"To live in this world, you must learn to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go." ~ Mary Oliver
I stumbled upon the following wee tale recently. May it coax you gently through the sultry dance of human death and liberation. For after all, we are all born to die.
DRAGONFLY Come closer says the dragon to the fly so that you may taste death upon my tongue and as I sweetly dine will discover the bliss of entering me here becoming my breath and becoming my blood until we are blessed as one You resist too much says the dragon to the fly you quiver in fear at my power and yet it is the very heat I exhale that draws you ever near until you must finally alight and the seduction is done like the lovesick bee and the eternal, succulent flower
So follow
my beckoning
and follow
your yearning
for what you cannot see
beyond the blindness
of fear
Open yourself
without question
and discover
acquiescent bliss
for it is death
that must be met
in the reckoning
held tightly in the hands
of the doubtful one
the keeper
of loss
And as you turn
following
yet again
but this time
around
a corner
walking my path
not yours anymore
and as you look down
see it flow
all the same
all undeniable
and easier
than anything you have ever done
before
For whether the fly
enters the front door
of the mouth
or the side door
of the ear
or penetrates
in her determination
through the back door
of the skull
However she enters all that matters is where she goes when she chooses to see that the fear of death is nothing more than a missing trust for once here present in my great full belly of hearts you will know nothing care nothing for all the griefs of old And so this whispers the great one green eyes and many tails this this is your chance to learn of how all fears connect to death and so with the relinquishment of stale understandings of what it means to die you can fear no more You in your darkest moments you in your most frail and broken body you in your emptiness when the whole world seems to have gone from the place where you are You in the final shame hiding from all eyes and most of all your own You are meant through this visit with complete acceptance to witness your unquenchable beauty and the beauty of every other soul tiny and black as they fly furiously toward the one who would eat her whole
You are dining with heat with conception with immanent birth for all this lives in my belly and when you inhabit me you become one with everything in me which is all Life all Matter and all Time It is a savoury invitation this meal that we plan for it has nothing to do with consumption and everything to do with the nourishment of the soul your hunger my tongue and a taste that we share Life and death are One
much love, Adi
