Dear Reader;
When we speak about non-attachment, we tend to think about questions of material possession, and yet this central spiritual principle operates at a much greater depth. We can hold plenty in our lap, and be fearful and attached. We can also hold plenty in our lap, and be generous and free.
Beyond our trinkets and needs, there is a bigger question about whether we can trust that we are safe, held, and at home, no matter what we have or do not have in our lives.
This is a song from a period when I was receiving through various musical voices. World, chants, blues, etheric choral works, and some so very simple like this lullaby. I’d love to hear if it soothes you.
I think what we often miss when confronted with the idea of surrender, of letting go, is the brilliant opportunity fear and anxiety present when they take hold, revealing themselves to us. A moment to say, aha! Look how I have fallen for an illusion...
Releasing attachment is a scary business, if we are doing it right. But oh, such beauty on the other side. That which comes into our awareness is made conscious, and that which is conscious may be set free.
much love, Adi
