Dear Readers
Today I invite you to consider two wonderful upcoming opportunities to connect.
Vulnerability, Our New Language. A Conversation for Men.
It is not an easy time to be a man. Yes, women have much to reclaim, so much history to heal, but it seems a light is rarely shone on the the challenges men face in a profoundly changing world.
Men are judged for being too passive, and judged for being too dominant. Their suffering often remains unaddressed, and their challenges dismissed. Where does a true, sacred masculine expression lie?
World Without Fear welcomes Benjamin Dussault, hosting an informal conversation to speak about his work supporting men on their journeys of healing and growth.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2022 AT 6 PM – 7 PM, on Zoom.
From Benjamin:
I am a man who still struggles with being supported and loved by others, especially the love of another man. I am a man who has practiced surviving alone in this world by avoiding the simple question which continues to show up in my life- “what do YOU need?”. So much so that from a young age I developed an identity around supporting others and avoided the space in being supported. I classified myself as unsupportable, unworthy of love.
What I know to be true today is that I need support, incredible amounts of it that are designed just for me to thrive fully in my uniquely designed life. I need pillars of strength around me, not just one but many brought together to hold me and every other man up. Pillars that come in the form of men’s groups: brotherhood, fatherhood, son-hood; tapping into our deepest strengths at our softest levels. There are many. Vulnerability is our new language, it is the most secure and honest one of them all. Showing up in these spaces we learn to speak it amongst other men and bring it forward into all of our relationships.
So I stand here, solid and shaky, ready to support, knowing that I cannot do it alone. I need your pillar as much as you need mine. Let us lean in together.

To be in person again, to share with you all will be very special.
Our venue is a lovely big old house with a cozy fireplace and great vibes, kindly shared by a friend. If you have been feeling low, or lonely, bring your hearts here. We welcome you.
After we make magic, we will make merry.
